Adelaida Antúnez Egurbide graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2019. From 2016 to 2018 she co-managed La Cera 13, an artist-run space in Raval, Barcelona. Between October 2019 and August 2020 she was part of the Associate Studio Program in London. She lives and works in the full moon.
Love is all, she thinks and explores through her life and practice. A witch during the winter and mermaid during the summer, she obsesses over singing flowers, talking birds, la luna y el sol. You'll quickly realize the depth of her fixation when looking through her practice.
She is a multidisciplinary lunatic with a special sensitivity when it comes to moving image and sound. She shines brighter in collaboration, for it feeds her belief that love is all.
Her voice is her strongest spell.
When she is older, or if she ever grows younger, she would like to be Chavela Vargas, Leonora Carrington, Véra Chytilová and both of her (own) grandmothers.
She hopes to live a long life and she is currently afraid of flying (although she hasn't always been, so she's making peace with the birds).
