Adelaida Antúnez Egurbide graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2019. From 2016 to 2018 she co-managed La Cera 13, an artist-run space in Raval, Barcelona, promoting experimental exhibition formats and supporting young artists. She is currently taking part in the Associate Studio Programme, working and living in London, UK.

Her practice questions love as a form of communication and its different forms. Her media are drawing, moving image, photography and sound, sometimes interlaced, sometimes on their own and all equally important. She is obsessed with witches, mermaids, angels, devils, flowers, la luna y el sol, these being the main subjects of current work.

When she is older, or if she ever grows younger, she would like to be Chavela Vargas, Leonora Carrington, Véra Chytilová and both of her (own) grandmothers.

She hopes to live a long life and she is currently afraid of flying (although she hasn't always been, so she's making peace with the birds).
